The 2013 Richmond Farmers Market is a huge success and we have seen a lot of new vendors and customers. The Market is growing faster than ever before because the population has began to understand the value of eating healthy. It is literally field to fork here. Items must be Home Grown or Hand Made You will find all sorts of locally grown fresh produce and plants in season at the Richmond Farmers Market. The Market has some of the regions best produce and vegetable farmers as well as some amazing craft artisans. The Farmers Market is located Tuesdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at North 7th Street and North A street or as most refer to it as the Library Parking Lot and the Saturday Market is 7:00 am till Noon.
Come See and support your local Farmers and understand why this is Richmond/Wayne County Indiana's best kept Secret
We would like everyone to know that the Richmond Farmers Market is totally self sustained and does not take any hand outs or operating grants . The $5.00 dollar vendor fee goes directly back into the Market by advertising, website expenses, signage and market coordination. The Richmond Farmers Market is not affiliated with other Farmers Market 's or other Markets that spring up from time to time, though we do advise them occasionally. We want our vendors to be successful. If you do not have many sales when getting started as a vendor at the Farmers Market the Coordinator may not charge you and will help you to create a more desirable product or appealing display. However please do not abuse this generosity. This is a valuable service for the City of Richmond and all monies collected go directly back into growing the Richmond Farmers Market, in fact the vendor fee's do not cover all cost involved in operating this Market. The remaining balance is paid by the coordinator. This is why the Coordinator is a vendor as well. Everyone is Welcome to become a vendor. We want everyone to succeed and we have helped a number of small businesses get there start here. We are a launching pad for creative Ideas. The Farmers routinely donate fresh produce to local food pantries and try to insure the needy get fresh vegetables in their diets
